1st Week of School
August 30-September 3, 2010
Dear Families:
Welcome to fourth grade at Betsy Rhodes Elementary School. I am so excited about starting a new school year and getting to know a whole new group of students.
We will be learning many fun and interesting things this year. Fourth grade curriculum focuses on multiplication and division, higher level reading comprehension and writing skills, electricity, water systems, life cycles, cursive handwriting and (my favorite) Nevada history.
This week's homework will require much help from you. We will not have our standard homework. However, students will need to have your assistance in completing school and class forms and discussing the information being sent home. The schedule is as follows:
NOTE: I will send home the supply request list. All other information will come home on Tuesday.)
MONDAY: ROCKET FOLDER: Go through the materials. Sign forms and return all necessary forms. Tell someone at home about your first day in the fourth grade.
TUESDAY: ROMANOV Class Information: Go through the materials. Sign forms and return all necessary forms. Write down any questions you have about our class information.
WEDNESDAY: Visit our class website. Click on the links and read the information. Show someone at home the website. Send me an email from the "contact me" page. It can be from a parent's email address.

THURSDAY: Explain class rules to someone at home. Discuss your favorite activity that we have done in class up to this point. Write a paragraph about this activity and bring it in to share on Friday. ( A paragraph is 5-8 sentences.)
FRIDAY: Bring in any missing forms and the writing assignment.
